About the Role
The summer internship is an opportunity to experience launching a business firsthand. TILI's summer launch team will be a small group of early-career interns who will support TILI's director in establishing TILI as a digital and real-world presence in the realms of educational consulting, curriculum development, and corporate training. Candidates for the summer launch team should be interested in exploring careers in any of the following areas: business, marketing, education, communications.
Requirements
This Summer, the Digital/Photo/Video/Social Media Intern Will Bring Their Unique Skillset to Provide Any/All of the Following:
Digital marketing resources:
Design editable logos for People Smart in a user-friendly formats (Canva)
Improve the TILI logo and ensure it is saved in a user-friendly format
Work with the office manager and marketing interns to contribute the design aspects of the People Smart and TILI websites and marketing materials
Photography:
Source/take photos for TILI's website and marketing materials that help to communicate the experience of a People Smart training
Source/take headshots and other photography of TILI's director and other TILI and People Smart contributors for marketing purposes
Videography:
Create informational videos that help website visitors to understand TILI and People Smart's products and vision
Social Media:
Set up social media for TILI and People Smart with an intentional focus on deep connection and communication (not quick reactions and easy clicks)
Work with TILI's director to develop a mid-range (1-3 year) social-media communications plan that may include: blogs, podcasts, etc. intended to build a deeper level of engagement with a longer-term clientele
The Best Candidate for this Position Is:
A student of digital design/photography/film/communications who is interested in building a portfolio
A person who can develop a deep understanding of TILI and People smart and create visual/video resources that help to communicate the mission/product to the public
A communicator who can ensure that designs/photos/videos are shared in a way that they can be utilized by other team members who may possess fewer digital resources and limited knowledge of editing tools
A person who takes initiative, communicates effectively, and enjoys working both independently and with others towards a shared goal
Hours, Pay, and Location:
Mon-Thursday/Weekends: Remote with flexible hours (up to 12 hours worked as required to meet objectives of the role. These hours can be scheduled flexibly around other work or school requirements.)
Friday: TILI Home Office - 8am to 5pm (must be able to provide your own technology and work in the home office of TILI's director with the summer launch team)
Dates and Pay: June 6th-August 1st - $10/hour (20 hours per week maximum)
Note: A stand-out contributor to the TILI summer launch team may be extended an offer to continue the work of office management, marketing, and logistics on a part-time basis into the 2026-2027 school year.
About the Company
The Instructional Leaders Initiative of Oklahoma (TILI OK) is a start-up educational consulting and curriculum company launching in Tulsa in the summer of 2026. Building on the background of its director, Kara Saunders (K-12 instructional leader), TILI is taking on the advent of Artificial Intelligence through the lens of an educator by asking two pivotal questions:
How can we use AI to provide cutting edge educational interventions that keep teachers (not computers) at the front lines of real-world education?
How can we leverage the "people smart" skills of educators and others in people-forward professions to make people skills the leading professional skills of the future workforce?
TILI and its sister organization, People Smart, will provide educational products and corporate trainings that answer these questions with creativity and humanity.
